Literacy education for adults

　The greatest supports for children when they go to school is the encouragements from their parents and the understanding of importance for children’s education.

　This literacy education project which JHP have started since 2018, aims to improve the literacy rate of their parents so that they can read and write by own-selves.
　At the same time, it aims for them to give their child emotional support to improve children's education by understanding joy of the learning and the importance.

　The graduates from the literacy class have been able to acquire the basic knowledge of reading, writing, and calculating then it has lead them to have self-confidence.

　This project has firstly started at Kampong Cham Province in Cambodia, and we have been thinking to gradually expand the range of area in the near future so that it becomes one of the new main JHP educational support’s activity along with school education so far.
